Words are not enough to describe these unique natural formations. There we explored the Lower Antelope Canyon and visited the impressive dunes that were created by the action of wind, water and sand. We then headed to a place known as “Water Runs Through the Rocks,” according to local Navajo folklore. As we moved inland into Navajo territory, we approached the mighty Colorado River to visit “Horseshoe Bend”, where the river flows and meanders around the rocks creating a horseshoe-shaped bend that is loved by visitors and photographers from around the world. George, Utah, home of the oldest continuously operating Mormon temple in the world. We begin our day with a scenic drive into Navajo territory.
